With the U.S. lawmakers ineffectual so far to solve the debt ceiling situation that could bring on another market crash, small enterprise entrepreneurs and solo medical and dental practitioners should seek out inexpensive dental advertising ideas to enable the steady stream of inbound patients as well as start stocking up on everyday necessities that could become scarce, creating a soaring inflation for items such as bandages, gauze, Novocain, painkillers and emergency medications.
Inflation and the high unemployment rate in the United States have done little to reassure Americans that the Recession is over, in spite of media reports to the contrary. The illusion of a market recovery is manufactured by the Federal Reserve acquiring bonds and investments and then selling them back. With the federal government at odds over the nation's excessively high federal debt and the risk of a credit score downgrade, the value of the dollar continues to drop as the United States moves toward a second financial disaster since 2008.
"The current economy is going to exact a price on small businesses, especially on doctors and dentists. That's why it is important for them to start taking a preventative inventory of the things they must have on-hand to be able to sustain their treatment centers if the market dives. ," says Mr. Helmut Flasch, a business and dentist advertising consultant and chief executive officer of Doctor Relations, Inc., a health and dental consulting organization located in the Woodland Hills vicinity of Southern California. Flasch points out that the U.S. dollar is being devalued at an alarming pace because money is being imprinted on paper without the backing of silver or gold, and if the market crashes, it will be worthless.
"The U.S. looked good during the go-go '90s. Most people had jobs and extra income. Now they have debt, lack of employment and a rising cost of living. Never did a civilization look so good before it went bust and the America is no different, sadly," states Flasch. He warns the medical community, such as doctors and dentists, to get started accumulating their stock on essential items such as bandages, anesthetics and gauze as well as non-perishable food supplies. He insists that by stocking necessary items in advance will help someone who made the necessary preparations to withstand an overall financial crash.
"Medical and dental issues do not arrange themselves based on the ups and downs of the market; they happen regardless, and that ultimately pushes a person to seek medical or dental attention before the issue gets worse. Whether there's a market crash or not, you won't want to turn away your patient simply because you ran out of Novocain," says Flasch. He continues by saying that even in hard times, a well-prepared dentist who has been monitoring economic developments will still be in operation because he knew to stock up on vital supplies that might become either unavailable or suddenly cost-prohibitive due to rising inflation.
In addition to supply maintenance, dentists and doctors must continue to market themselves by getting involved with their communities to keep their names in the public consciousness as it is not only less expensive than traditional dental advertising, but it is also giving something back to benefit others. . Itwon't do you any good to be a loner right now. You will have to work with people in the community who can promote you because budgets for a conventional marketing and advertising campaign will be cost-prohibitive. Community engagement is marketing at a nominal cost because it involves a word-of-mouth push in your favor in lieu of an expensive radio spot." He ends by saying, "This is a good method for people to prepare in the event of another market crash. There's no such thing as bad weather, only poorly thought-out preparations for it."
